Pilot project focusing on mobility disorders
In many cases of illness, accident or motor disability, people are temporarily or permanently confronted with a reduction in their physical capacities. The lack of appropriate care structures, combined with the poverty factor, lead to conditions of exclusion that further hamper the disabled.
In its specialized care programs, the Foundation strives to ensure that specific health issues (Alzheimer's, Cerebral Palsy, Addictions, etc.) are addressed through new care mechanisms. The Functional Rehabilitation and Therapy Center at Ain Chock is a pilot facility that provides local care for disabilities related to nervous system and motor system deficiencies. Ultimately, its generalization will improve the health of people with disabilities on a larger scale.
Providing multidisciplinary care suited to needs and pathologies
This community center welcomes children and adults and offers them curative and palliative medical care. The objective is to support patients through a care, therapy and rehabilitation adapted to their needs and pathologies.
The center thus offers a complete range of services. These include diagnosis and treatment of malformation pathologies, rehabilitation-physiotherapy, functional speech therapy, orthopedic and psychomotor therapy, psychological and social counselling. It is also equipped with a design and production department for special equipment, as well as a hydrotherapy unit.
